Richard Alfred Myer was born in Long Island and raised in Caldwell, NJ. He received his B. A. Degree in Fine Arts from Brigham Young University. He has studied with many well known artists, among them, B. F. Larsen, J. Roman Andrus, John Hovanis and Daniel Green. He attended the Art Students League, Sculpture Center and the Solomagundy Club.
Mr. Myer has exhibited in juried, invitational and one-man shows in Utah, New Jersey and New York City. Pieces of his work remain in residence at Brigham Young University. His works are now being shown in galleries in the Metropolitan area. Next month his sculpture and paintings will be featured in the Originique Art Gallery of East Orange.
Richard Myer is presently engaged in teaching painting and sculpture and is a member of the creative art department of Jas H. Matthews Co. He resides with his wife, Maurine Myer and their four children in West Caldwell, N.J.
